ABOUT

About

History

For over 25 years, I have worked in the City of London in a highly pressured financial services environment and have a real appreciation for the demands of a corporate career.

I understand how the challenges of working in the city can sometimes trigger addictive behaviours, anxiety, or depression. The emotional turmoil can sometimes be unbearable, impacting our ability to function daily.

Life is an individual journey where facing complexed challenges are unique to you. I adapt my therapeutic approach to suit the needs of the individual client. Therefore, we will work together to explore possibilities and choices to look at ways in how you can move towards change and development.

What is Integrative Counselling?

Integrative counselling is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies.

As an Integrative therapist, I take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.

Rather, each person needs to be considered as a whole and counselling techniques must be tailored to their needs and personal circumstances.

Therapy Modality Approaches:
  • Person-Centred (non-directive approach)

  • Transactional Analysis (active directive approach)

  • Psychodynamic (focused on the unconscious)

  • Behavioural (focused on learning new behaviour)

  • Cognitive (focused on thought)

  • Humanistic (focused on achieving potential)

  • Gestalt (immediacy, the here and now)

  • Integrative (combining elements of these modalities)
